A person was taken into custody after police caught him following a police chase that ended in a crash on Penn Street Bridge on April 1st. The truck seems to have been involved in a single vehicle accident. It did have a trailer attached to it when it crashed. No identification on the person has been released, and it is currently also unknown why authorities were pursuing that suspect. Some of the law enforcement who were involved with the chase or the crash scene included the Muhlenberg police, Wyomissing police, West Reading police, and Pennsylvania state police. The state police are in charge of the investigation.
