Narrative
A 60-year-old man died last Friday when the vehicle in which he was a passenger collided with another vehicle at a busy intersection in Hawley. The incident happened around 11 a.m. at the intersection of Route 6 and State Route 507, which is just northwest of Decker Pond. The investigation thus far indicates that a passenger vehicle failed to stop at a red light at the intersection and crashed into a second passenger vehicle as it made a left turn. Authorities identified the victim as Dale Edwards. It is unclear if either of the drivers sustained injuries in the accident. A full investigation is underway.
