Narrative
FERNDALE, PA – One person died, and two others were hospitalized on Saturday after a head-on collision along a busy roadway in Ferndale.
The accident occurred just after 2 p.m. on Route 611 just north of Center Hill Road, which is just west of Nockamixon Township Building.
Police say that a southbound Ram pickup veered into the northbound lanes of Route 611 and collided head-first with a northbound Kia.
The driver of the Kia, identified as 55-year-old Tjerk J. Post, died after transport to a local hospital.
Medics also transported the driver of the pickup truck, identified as 28-year-old Kyle Jesiolowski, and a passenger from the truck to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
