MONTGOMERY CO., PA – A 60-year-old woman went to the hospital Tuesday after a vehicle struck her as she attempted to cross a busy roadway in a designated crosswalk.
The accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. at James Road and Vine Drive, which is near both Red Hill and Pennsburg in Upper Hanover Township.
Police say that the driver of a pickup truck neglected to stop completely before entering the crosswalk. The driver remained at the scene to render aid and speak with authorities.
The pedestrian sustained critical injuries.
