Narrative
A 68-year-old man and a 31-year-old man died when their vehicles collided along the interstate in Tunkhannock Township on Monday afternoon. The incident happened sometime before 1:04 p.m. on the westbound side of the interstate when the vehicle driven by the 68-year-old left its lane and crashed into the other vehicle. The force of the collision caused the vehicles to overturn several times. Both men died at the scene after being thrown from their vehicles. Authorities identified the victims at Donn Innes from Weatherly and Jeffrey Bates from Danville. Police suspect speed may have been a factor in the crash. A full investigation is underway.
