Narrative
At 4:10p.m., Edward Michael King, 58, died when he crashed into a family’s vehicle at 400 Washington Pike on Feb. 22nd. King was driving east, against traffic, when he drove into the other car head-on. This other vehicle was driving westbound at the time. In that car was a 30 year-old female driver and two children. All these innocent victims were hospitalized. The woman was hospitalized in Pittsburgh and the children were taken to UPMC Children’s Hospital. The children had smaller injuries but the injuries of the woman are not known. The at-fault driver was not utilizing a seatbelt when the crash happened, and he passed away at the scene of the accident. An investigation is being conducted by the Pennsylvania State Police.
