Narrative
A 54-year-old woman died early Friday morning after a vehicle struck her as she attempted to cross a busy roadway in Orbisonia. The incident happened around 5:35 a.m. on State Route 522, or Croghan Pike, just east of Erwin Street. The investigation indicates that a northbound vehicle struck the woman as she attempted to cross SR-522 in the dark. The victim, identified as Tammy Dunn, died at the scene of the collision. The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. No other injuries were reported.
