FRANKLIN CO., PA – A 30-year-old motorcyclist died Tuesday night in a three-vehicle crash along the highway in east-central Franklin County.
The incident occurred at 8:24 p.m. in the area of 6400 Molly Pitcher Highway South, which is between Green Village and Shippensburg.
Police say that a southbound motorcyclist struck the rear of a car, at which point a third vehicle struck the rear of the motorcycle. The motorcycle then collided with a utility pole.
The motorcycle operator, identified as Zachary Daley, died at the scene of the accident.
Medics transported the driver of the second car to the hospital with unknown injuries.
