Narrative
FARMINGTON, PA – A three-vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler killed four adults and an infant on Tuesday in southeast Fayette County.
The incident happened around 2 p.m. on Route 40 between PA-381 and Dinner Bell 5 Forks Road in the town of Farmington.
Police say that an eastbound black Honda Accord entered the westbound lanes of traffic and crashed head-on into a semi-truck. It’s unclear how the third vehicle was involved in the accident.
The driver of the Honda, identified as 55-year-old Harold Nibert, died at the scene of the accident. Three other adults from the Honda and a baby also died. The adults have been identified as Krystal May (36), Bradley Thivener (47), and Amanda Dawson (33).
Three others sustained minor injuries in the crash. It’s unclear if they required hospitalization.
