PORT MATILDA, PA – A 38-year-old man died Wednesday in southwest Centre County when the garbage truck he was working on crashed into a tree.
The incident happened around 12:30 p.m. on North Main Street in Port Matilda. This is near the Port Matilda Fire Department.
Police say the victim was riding on the back of the truck when the driver backed into a tree in the driveway. The man died of blunt force trauma to the head.
Authorities identified the victim as Nathan Kerstetter of Milesburg.
The investigation is ongoing.
