Narrative
BRADFORD CO., PA – An 81-year-old man died, and another sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash along a highway in southern Bradford County.
The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. Thursday on PA 414 just west of Monroe, near Space Mountain Fireworks and Rocky’s Bicycle Shop.
Police say that the elderly driver suffered a medical episode, left the highway, and crashed into trees along the roadway.
The driver, identified as Warren Strout, died en route to the hospital.
Medics airlifted a passenger from the vehicle to a hospital in Sayre with serious injuries.
