GETTYSBURG, PA – A 25-year-old man died on Tuesday in a head-on collision involving an 18-wheeler along the highway in Gettysburg.
The accident happened in the area of 1800 York Road, or the Lincoln Highway, between Cavalry Field Road and Flickinger Road.
The investigation thus far indicates that an eastbound Chevy Silverado veered onto the westbound side of the highway and crashed into a westbound Freightliner semi.
The driver of the Chevy, identified as Jarod Henize of North Carolina, died at the scene.
The truck driver did not sustain injuries in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
