Narrative
HANOVER, PA – A 24-year-old man died Thursday after his vehicle collided with an 18-wheeler at a busy Hanover intersection.
Police responded to the accident around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 116 and Honda Road, which is just southeast of Happy Ramblers Motorcycle Club.
The investigation thus far indicates that a southbound Chevy Malibu ran a stop sign on Honda Road and collided with an 18-wheeler on State Route 116. The force of the collision then pushed the trailer on the semi into a utility pole.
The driver of the Chevy, identified as Michael Peterson Jr., died after transport to a local hospital.
The truck driver did not sustain injuries in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
