Narrative
BOALSBURG, PA – A 36-year-old died last Monday in a multi-vehicle crash along the highway in north-central Harris Township.
The accident happened shortly before 6:30 a.m. in the area of 5700 Mount Nittany Expressway in the city of Boalsburg. This is just southwest of Wyndham Garden State College.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a westbound Chevy pickup truck entered the eastbound side of US-322 and crashed head-on with an 18-wheeler. This initial crash pushed the semi onto the westbound side of the expressway and into several other vehicles.
The pickup truck driver died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities have not yet released their name to the public.
Three other drivers also went to the hospital with minor injuries. Several others were treated at the scene.
